Chocolate Protein Superfood Donuts

Chocolate Protein Donuts

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated! The simpler the better for forming and sustaining good, healthy habits. Ready to take action?

INGREDIENTS:

-1 cup to 1 1/4 cup organic oat flour

-1/2 cup organic fine, blanched almond flour

-1 scoop Wavelength Chocolate Protein Powder or 2 scoops Wavelength Little Ripples Chocolate Protein Powder

-3 tbsp. organic, unrefined coconut oil, melted

-1/2 cup organic maple syrup or other sweetener (such as agave, monkfruit syrup, coconut nectar, honey)

-1/4 cup coconut yogurt or greek yogurt

-1/4 tsp. of Himalayan pink salt

-2 tsp. baking powder

-1 large egg or egg white

-1 tsp. vanilla extract

-2/3 cup vanilla or chocolate almond milk (such as Malk) or other plant-based or whole milk

optional: add 1/4 to 1/2 cup organic cacao nibs or chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Mix together flour, protein powder, baking powder and salt in a bowl.

  3. Whisk together the egg, sweetener, vanilla extract, milk and coconut oil in a separate bowl.

  4. Mix in half of the flour mixture, then half of the yogurt. Repeat until batter is blended. Optional- fold in chocolate chips or cacao nibs.

  5. Pour into donut pan or mini donut maker (Dash) until 3/4 full.

  6. Bake for 12 min.

  7. ENJOY!

Makes approx. 12 regular size or 28 mini donuts.

*can sub 1 cup all-purpose flour instead of oat and almond flours
