Chocolate Protein Waffles

Happy Valentine’s Day!

A great healthy start to Valentine’s Day or any day! Use Wavelength’s Chocolate or Little Ripples for this decadent goodness!

Chocolate Protein Waffles

INGREDIENTS:

-1 serving Wavelength Chocolate Protein Powder or 2 servings Wavelength Little Ripples Chocolate Protein Powder

-1/4 cup Sprouted Spelt Flour (can use Oat Flour or Almond Flour)

-1 tsp. baking powder

-1 Banana, mashed

-2 egg whites (can sub Flax or Chia egg)

-1/2 cup plant or regular milk (tip: vanilla almond milk)

-Optional- 1/2 cup cacao nibs or chocolate chips

-Sliced fresh strawberries to top

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Blend together dry ingredients (except for chocolate chips and strawberries)

  2. In a separate bowl, mix together banana, milk, egg whites.

  3. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, until just blended.

  4. Optional- mix in chocolate chips or cacao nibs.

  5. To a greased waffle maker, pour in a couple tablespoons of batter, and cook according to waffle maker instructions. Approx. 5 minutes.

  6. Option-top with cacao nibs or chocolate chips and sliced strawberries.

  7. ENJOY!
